Cessna Citation Ascend: A New Era Begins with First Delivery
The Cessna Citation Ascend has officially entered service following its first customer delivery on December 30, 2025. This marks a significant milestone for Textron Aviation’s midsize business jet lineup.
The Citation Ascend received FAA type certification in November 2025, becoming the newest member of the esteemed 560XL series. Manufactured in Wichita, Kansas, the aircraft boasts a redesigned cockpit equipped with the state-of-the-art Garmin G5000 avionics suite.

Under the hood, the Citation Ascend is powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines. It offers a maximum speed of 441 knots and a four-passenger range of 1,940 nautical miles. The aircraft can accommodate up to 12 passengers and features a flat-floor cabin with larger windows, wireless climate control, and standard Gogo Avance L3 Max Wi-Fi.

Since 2000, more than 1,000 aircraft in the 560XL series have been delivered, making it one of the most successful business jet platforms in aviation history.
