Jamaica’s 2024/2025 Cruise Season Kicks Off with a Record-Breaking 34,000 Passengers
Jamaica’s 2024/2025 cruise tourism season has launched with remarkable success, welcoming 34,519 passengers and 13,137 crew members across ten vessels between December 2-5, 2024.
The Caribbean nation, recently voted World’s Leading Cruise Destination 2024 by World Travel Awards, has already welcomed 1.1 million cruise passengers since the start of 2024.
Major cruise ships including MSC Seascape, Independence of the Seas, and Disney Treasure made calls at Jamaica’s three main ports:
- Falmouth
- Montego Bay
- Ocho Rios
Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett noted the season started early and strong, with passenger disembarkation rates reaching 90%, generating significant economic activity for local communities and tourism businesses.
