American Airlines: New Seasonal Route
American Airlines launched a new seasonal Los Angeles-Brisbane route on December 5, operating three times weekly through January 30, 2026, using Boeing 787-9s. This expansion builds on their Dallas-Fort Worth-Brisbane route that debuted in 2024.
Asia: Phoenix’s First Asian Carrier
In Asia, Phoenix gained its first Asian carrier when China Airlines began three-times-weekly Taipei-Phoenix service on December 3 using A350-900s. This launch supports increasing business travel demand following Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s $165 billion investment in the region.
Europe: China Southern’s Entry into Spanish Market
In Europe, China Southern entered the Spanish market with three-times-weekly Guangzhou-Madrid flights starting December 2, strengthening China-Europe connectivity.
