Korean Air Clinches FTE Pioneer Award for Pioneering Digital Innovation

Korean Air has gained recognition for its exemplary leadership in digital transformation and service excellence. This has led to the prestigious 2025 Future Travel Experience (FTE) APAC Pioneer Award and two 2026 APEX Best Awards at the FTE APEX Asia Expo 2025 in Singapore. The FTE APAC Pioneer Award is a distinguished honor given to the top 10 airlines and airports that are at the forefront of digital innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Korean Air was specifically lauded for its AI Contact Centre (AICC), a cloud-based platform developed in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The AICC supports service agents by summarizing calls and suggesting real-time responses, thereby enhancing efficiency and accuracy. The airline also received commendation for its expansion into the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) business with a focus on AI-based autonomous flight and mission execution.

The airline’s innovative partnership with U.S. defense technology firm Anduril for the co-development of autonomous UAVs was highlighted as a groundbreaking example of cross-industry innovation. This recognition further emphasizes Korean Air’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to improve customer service and operational efficiency, while also venturing into new aviation sectors.
