Boeing Resumes 737 MAX Production Following Strike Resolution

Boeing has resumed production of its 737 MAX aircraft following the resolution of a seven-week industrial strike that significantly impacted deliveries throughout November 2024. The company delivered only 13 commercial aircraft during the month, representing less than 25% of November 2023 deliveries.

The strike, which began in early October and involved 33,000 workers across several Boeing facilities, was resolved on November 5, 2024, after a revised pay agreement was reached. Boeing has confirmed that production lines at its Seattle-area Renton factory have restarted, with newly delivered fuselages being loaded for assembly.

Boeing shares rose 4.5% following the production resumption announcement, as the company works to restore output levels after facing supply chain disruptions and regulatory scrutiny. The manufacturer had been planning to increase 737 production to 38 units per month before the strike disrupted operations.
