Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025: Unveiling the Future of Foldable Smartphones
Today, July 9, 2025, marks a significant milestone in the world of mobile technology. Samsung is hosting its much-anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event in Brooklyn, New York, where it will unveil its next-generation foldable smartphones.
The star of the show is the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Samsung touts this as the thinnest and lightest horizontal foldable ever created. When folded, it measures a mere 8.9mm, and an incredibly slim 4.2mm when unfolded. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 boasts a 200MP main camera, akin to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, larger cover and foldable screens, and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities.
Not to be outdone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 introduces a revolutionary edge-to-edge 4.1-inch cover display and a larger 4,300mAh battery. Samsung is also teasing its first tri-fold smartphone, though initial availability may be limited to Korea and China.
The event, which will be streaming live at 10 AM ET on Samsung’s website and YouTube, will also showcase the Galaxy Watch 8 series and the new Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025. Pre-orders for these exciting new devices will begin immediately after the event, with devices available from July 25.
