Bombardier Crowns Comlux as the Premier Customer for Global 8000 Business Jet
Bombardier recently made an announcement at NBAA-BACE 2025 that the Swiss-based charter airline, Comlux, will be the inaugural customer to receive the industry-defining Global 8000 business jet in 2026. This news signifies a significant milestone for what Bombardier touts as the world’s fastest purpose-built business jet.
The Global 8000 aircraft has recently set a new record, achieving a top speed of Mach 0.95. This makes it the fastest civil aircraft since the iconic Concorde. With an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles, the aircraft can seamlessly connect distant global city pairs such as Singapore to Los Angeles and Dubai to Houston without the need for refueling.
Andrea Zanetto, CEO of Comlux Aviation, commented on the acquisition, “The Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft integrates perfectly into our long-range fleet, nestled between our wide-body fleet and our Global 6500 fleet.” Comlux, renowned for its expertise in long-range operations, sees this addition as a significant enhancement to its ultra-long-range charter capabilities.
The aircraft boasts four distinct cabin zones, including a club suite, conference suite, relaxation area, and a luxurious bedroom with an ensuite shower. Comlux has been operating Bombardier aircraft, including the Global 6000 and Global 6500, for over 20 years, delivering high-end aviation services worldwide.
