Akasa Air Introduces Daily Direct Flights from Kozhikode to Mumbai
Indian airline, Akasa Air, has recently launched daily direct flights from Kozhikode (Calicut) to Mumbai. This marks a significant expansion of the carrier’s presence in Kerala. The inaugural flight took off from Kozhikode International Airport on October 1, 2025, at 19:55 hrs, and touched down at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 21:40 hrs.
This new route not only strengthens Akasa Air’s connectivity in Kerala but also enhances accessibility to the Malabar region. Since commencing operations in Kerala in 2022, the airline has progressively amplified its presence in the state. Akasa Air now operates a total of 28 weekly departures from Kochi and Kozhikode, connecting Kerala with four key destinations:
- Mumbai
- Bengaluru
- Jeddah
- Abu Dhabi
The expansion is a testament to the airline’s commitment to providing greater choice and convenience for travelers. This is achieved through a combination of new routes and increased frequencies. This strategic move positions Akasa Air to capture the growing demand for both domestic and international travel from Kerala’s key cities.
