Apple’s Exciting Reveal: iPhone 17 Series and the Ultra-Thin iPhone Air
Apple has unveiled its much-awaited iPhone 17 series on September 9, introducing four innovative models. The highlight of the release is the revolutionary iPhone Air, the thinnest smartphone ever by the company, boasting a thickness of just 5.6mm.
The iPhone Air, which replaces the Plus model, comes with a 6.6-inch display featuring 120Hz ProMotion technology. It is powered by the new A19 Pro chip. Despite its ultra-thin design, the device does not compromise on battery life or camera capabilities, offering a 48MP dual fusion camera system.
Significant upgrades have been made to the standard iPhone 17 as well. It now has a larger 6.3-inch display with ProMotion support, previously exclusive to Pro models. The 18MP Center Stage front camera has been improved for enhanced selfies and video calls. All models in the series now feature Always-On displays and are powered by the advanced A19 chip variants.
The pricing remains competitive with the iPhone 17 starting at $799 (256GB base storage), iPhone Air priced at $999, and Pro models starting at $1,099. Pre-orders began on September 12, with general availability commencing from September 19.
Early reports suggest a strong demand, especially for the orange iPhone 17 Pro Max, which quickly sold out. This new lineup is Apple’s most significant iPhone redesign since the iPhone X, with a focus on AI capabilities and improved performance across all models.
