Rare Beauty Continues to Dominate with Fourth Blush Innovation
Rare Beauty, a leading name in the beauty industry, has once again proven its prowess in the blush category. The brand has recently launched its fourth blush formula, the Soft Pinch Matte Bouncy Blush ($27). This innovative product further solidifies Selena Gomez’s strategic approach to capturing the viral beauty market.
The newly introduced “cushiony cream-to-powder blush” stands out with its unique texture. It “blends like cream, blurs like powder”, providing a lasting, humidity-proof matte finish. This product follows in the footsteps of the highly successful Soft Pinch Liquid Blush ($25). Launched in 2020, this product quickly became one of TikTok’s first truly viral beauty products.
According to Joyce Kim, the Chief Product Officer, customer data indicated that some first-time buyers found the brand’s highly-pigmented signature blush a bit daunting. This led to the development of this more user-friendly formula. Katie Welch, a brand representative, explained, “The finishes [of the four blushes] are so different that we hope they complement each other.”
In celebration of the launch, Rare Beauty is organizing pop-up events in several major cities, including Miami, Mexico City, Milan, Paris, and London. Additionally, the brand is collaborating with the at-home beauty service Glamsquad to introduce the “Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Cheek + Lip service.”
