Apple Unveils Ultra-Thin iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Series
Apple has taken the wraps off its most ambitious iPhone lineup to date. The tech giant introduced the groundbreaking iPhone Air alongside the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The standout iPhone Air measures a mere 5.6mm in thickness, setting a new record for the thinnest iPhone ever created. This ultra-slim device challenges industry leaders in the ultra-slim smartphone category.
All four models hit the market on September 19, 2025, following a pre-order period that started on September 12.
iPhone Air: A Breakthrough in Design and Technology
The iPhone Air, retailing at $999, boasts a breakthrough titanium design. It features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display and ProMotion technology with 120Hz refresh rates.
“The all-new iPhone Air is so powerful, yet impossibly thin and light, that you really have to hold it to believe it’s real,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering.
Despite its ultra-thin profile, Apple asserts that the device maintains a “great all-day battery life” thanks to innovative engineering and space optimization.

- The new A19 and A19 Pro chips
- Enhanced 48MP camera systems with Center Stage front cameras
- Improved durability with Ceramic Shield 2 technology
