Apple’s “Awe Dropping” Event: Introducing the iPhone 17 Air and More
At its “Awe Dropping” event on Tuesday, Apple unveiled the iPhone 17 Air, touted as the thinnest iPhone ever created. The event also saw the launch of updated iPhone 17 Pro models, featuring a complete aluminum unibody redesign. The company’s CEO, Tim Cook, hailed these releases as the “biggest leap ever for iPhone.”
The iPhone 17 Air, with its elegant and durable titanium construction, starts at $999. The iPhone 17 Pro, now with 256GB storage, starts at $1,099 – a $100 increase from its predecessor. The Pro Max, on the other hand, maintains its $1,199 starting price but now offers up to 2TB of storage for $1,999. All models will be available from September 19.
Key highlights of the new releases include:
- The new A19 Pro chip
- Improved camera systems with up to 39 hours of video playback on the Pro Max
- Enhanced Ceramic Shield 2 protection
Apple also announced that iOS 26 will launch on September 15. In addition, the company introduced the AirPods Pro 3, which come with heart rate monitoring and live language translation capabilities.
