Louis Vuitton: A Revolutionary Leap into Beauty with Seoul Pop-Up Launch
Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton etched its name in the annals of beauty industry history on September 1, 2025, by opening its first-ever cosmetics pop-up store in the elite Gangnam District of Seoul. This three-story flagship is the birthplace of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, the brand’s pioneering beauty collection, masterminded under the creative genius of iconic makeup artist, Dame Pat McGrath.
The collection is an exquisite ensemble of:
- 55 LV Rouge lipsticks (a tribute to the Roman numeral LV)
- 10 LV Baume tinted lip balms
- Eight LV Ombres eyeshadow palettes
Seoul, a global hub for K-beauty innovation, was strategically chosen for the worldwide debut. The pop-up offers immersive experiences such as virtual try-on zones, makeup stations, and a unique collaboration with local dessert brand Notre-Dame on the third floor.
“La Beauté Louis Vuitton is the culmination of exceptional craftsmanship and innovation,” McGrath stated. The luxury positioning is evident in the pricing, with lipsticks and balms retailing at $170 each – a price point significantly higher than competitors like Chanel and Dior. All products feature refillable packaging designed by industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, reflecting the brand’s commitment to sustainability while extending its 170-year heritage into the beauty sector.”
