Ford Issues Massive Recall of 355K Trucks Due to Dashboard Display Glitches

Ford Motor Company has issued a massive recall of 355,656 pickup trucks across the United States. This action comes in response to instrument panel display failures that obstruct the appearance of crucial safety information on dashboards. The recall primarily affects 2025 Ford F-150s and 2025-2026 Super Duty trucks, including F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 models.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the instrument panel cluster can fail upon startup. This failure leaves drivers staring at blank screens, devoid of access to vital information such as vehicle speed, warning lights, and safety gauges. The defective software was in production from June 2024 to July 2025. By June 26, Ford had received 95 warranty claims related to this issue.

Ford plans to address the issue by providing free over-the-air software updates for the affected vehicles. It’s worth noting that the company has experienced a record-breaking year for recalls. In the first half of 2025 alone, Ford issued 89 recalls, surpassing General Motors’ full-year record of 77 set in 2014.
