Unveiling La Beauté Louis Vuitton: A $160 Luxury Makeup Line by Pat McGrath
Louis Vuitton has officially launched its highly anticipated debut makeup collection, La Beauté Louis Vuitton, set to go global on August 29, 2025. The luxury fashion house collaborated with the acclaimed makeup artist, Dame Pat McGrath, who served as the Creative Director for this extensive range.
The collection boasts 55 lipsticks, 10 lip balms, and 8 eyeshadow palettes. This makes it one of the most expensive premium beauty ranges on the market. The lipsticks and lip balms are priced at $160 each, while the eyeshadow palettes come at $250.
Each product is encased in refillable packaging adorned with Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram. Interestingly, the number 55 serves as a clever nod to the Roman numerals LV.
“I’ve always said makeup is more than product: It’s performance, obsession, and emotion,” McGrath stated. “This new chapter is about pushing craftsmanship into a new realm.”
The lipsticks are formulated with natural waxes from upcycled rose, jasmine, and mimosa flowers. They are also enriched with shea butter and hyaluronic acid.
Initially, the collection will be available exclusively in Louis Vuitton’s owned retail stores and online. However, there are plans for a careful expansion to select department stores.
This launch positions Louis Vuitton alongside other luxury brands like Prada and Celine, who have recently entered the competitive beauty market.
