Avidyne Achieves FAA Certification for Vantage 12 Display Upgrade, Benefiting 4,000+ Cirrus Aircraft

Avidyne Corporation has proudly achieved FAA certification for its innovative Vantage 12 Flight Display System. This major avionics upgrade is set to benefit over 4,000 Entegra-equipped and pre-Entegra Cirrus SR20/22 Series aircraft.

The Vantage 12 system boasts dual 12-inch LCD touchscreen displays, complete with 3D Synthetic Vision, terrain awareness, and split-screen mapping capabilities.

“We are delighted to announce that Vantage 12 is now certified and initial deliveries and customer installations are in process,” said Dan Schwinn, Avidyne’s CEO.

This upgrade provides pilots with the opportunity to modernize aging flight decks, while maintaining familiar operation with minimal learning curve. The modular system enables staged upgrades:

  1. Starting with DFC90 autopilot
  2. Then adding IFDs
  3. And finally integrating Vantage displays

Alternatively, a complete installation can be done all at once. Avidyne’s EZ Install Kit minimizes aircraft downtime during installation.

Pricing for the upgrade starts at $33,000 for PFD and MFD displays with dual attitude reference systems and a single Air Data Computer, plus an Entegra core return credit.
