AI Powerhouse Decart Secures $100M Funding, Skyrocketing to $3.1B Valuation
Decart, a trailblazing artificial intelligence startup renowned for its real-time video generation, has successfully secured a whopping $100 million in Series B funding. This funding round, which took place on Wednesday, catapulted the company to an impressive $3.1 billion valuation.
The funding round saw participation from existing investors such as Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Zeev Ventures. New investor Aleph VC also joined the round.
Founded by Dean Leitersdorf and Moshe Shalev in 2023, the San Francisco-based Decart has been at the forefront of developing innovative AI models. These models have revolutionized the way we interact with video content, enabling real-time interaction for millions of users. Their groundbreaking Oasis model, launched in November 2024, holds the distinction of being the world’s first real-time video model. The model’s popularity skyrocketed, surpassing one million users within just three days of its launch.
What truly sets Decart apart is its exceptional capital efficiency. Despite raising $153 million in a span of 11 months, the company has managed to spend less than $10 million. From day one, Decart has been generating revenue through lucrative GPU optimization contracts. CEO Leitersdorf has described the funding as “wholly unnecessary”, but has ambitious plans to build “a billion-user consumer app” and ultimately achieve the status of a trillion-dollar company.
The recent valuation marks a significant leap from Decart’s previous $500 million valuation just eight months ago. This underscores the intense investor interest in real-time AI technologies.
