Cirrus TRAC10: A Revolutionary Flight Training Aircraft Now Available for Flight School Orders

Cirrus Aircraft has officially opened sales of its groundbreaking TRAC10 flight training aircraft to flight school buyers. This development confirms the new trainer’s availability for fleet training program orders, marking a significant advancement in professional pilot education worldwide.

Launched in July 2026, the TRAC10 is a unique, purpose-built three-seat aircraft. It is specifically designed for professional, collegiate, and career-oriented flight training programs. The aircraft is powered by a turbocharged Rotax 916 iSc FADEC engine that produces 160 horsepower. It burns as little as 5.9 gallons per hour at 65% cruise power and is equipped with a full Garmin flight deck. The aircraft also features the signature Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) — the same life-saving whole-airplane parachute found on Cirrus’s SR-series aircraft. The starting price for the aircraft is $499,900.

Cirrus has already secured orders for more than 100 TRAC10 aircraft from 13 professional flight schools worldwide. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the United States in 2027, with international deliveries following in 2028. The aircraft will be manufactured at Cirrus’s headquarters in Duluth, Minnesota.

“The TRAC10 is a complete reimagining of the modern training aircraft,” said Pat Waddick, President of Innovation & Operations at Cirrus. He emphasized the aircraft’s industry-leading safety systems, fuel efficiency, and advanced avionics designed for the next generation of airline pilots.
