Raffles The Red Sea: A New Luxury Resort Opens on Saudi Arabia’s Shura Island

Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Red Sea tourism destination has reached a significant milestone with the grand opening of Raffles The Red Sea on Shura Island. The announcement was made by regenerative tourism developer Red Sea Global (RSG) on October 14–15, 2026. This ultra-luxury resort signifies the arrival of one of the world’s most iconic hospitality brands to the Kingdom’s flagship destination.

The resort boasts 168 keys in total, including 121 rooms, 14 suites, and 33 private villas. These villas form the Raffles Residences The Red Sea, a collection of one- to four-bedroom homes designed by the renowned architecture firm Foster + Partners, with interiors by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Each villa features a private pool, spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, and stunning views of the island’s natural surroundings.

Guests can indulge in two specialty restaurants serving contemporary Singaporean and Eastern Mediterranean cuisine. Additionally, the resort offers a pan-Arabic Long Bar and shisha lounge, and a world-class Raffles Spa with seven treatment rooms, a vitality pool, and a hammam. Conveniently located, the resort is a short drive from Red Sea International Airport and is within easy reach of the Shura Links golf course and ADRENA, a sports and adventure district.

Raffles is the latest addition to the expanding RSG portfolio, which already includes InterContinental, SLS, The EDITION, Four Seasons, and Miraval properties. Five more resorts are expected to open in the coming months.
