Google’s Gemini 4 Argon: A Powerful AI Model Now Available Globally

Google has unveiled its most potent AI model to date, Gemini 4 Argon, making it widely accessible to developers and enterprises across the globe. This move escalates the AI competition against its rivals, OpenAI and Anthropic.

The flagship multimodal model was launched on October 13, 2026, via Google’s paid Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and its Antigravity agentic development environment. Subscribers of Google AI Ultra and Pro can also access Argon directly through the Gemini app and AI Mode in Google Search.

Gemini 4 Argon is engineered for intricate, long-horizon tasks that demand sustained reasoning and execution across multiple steps. The key applications include:

  • Modernizing large software codebases
  • Enterprise research
  • Cybersecurity
  • Quantum computing support
  • Life sciences applications

Early testers of the model include prominent companies such as Deloitte, LexisNexis, Ambience Healthcare, and Isomorphic Labs.

Google has introduced a competitive pricing of $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, valid until November 30, 2026. Post this date, the prices will increase to $4 and $20 per million tokens, respectively. Moreover, Google has incorporated a new “task mode” in the Gemini app, enabling the assistant to function autonomously even when the user is not present. This feature connects to over 40 applications, including Adobe, Shopify, Instacart, and OpenTable.
