Unveiling Rimrock Banff: Accor’s CAD $115M Luxury Transformation
Emerging from a sweeping CAD $115 million renovation, one of Canada’s most iconic mountain retreats, Rimrock Banff, has been completely reimagined as a luxury destination. Nestled high above the Bow Valley within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Banff National Park, Alberta, it has officially opened as the first North American property under Accor’s Emblems Collection — the French hospitality giant’s newest ultra-luxury brand.
The transformation, recently announced by Travel Daily News, delivers a host of upgrades and new features:
- 320 redesigned guestrooms including 57 suites
- A sprawling 9,600-square-foot hydrothermal Bathhouse
- A 3,800-square-foot Active Centre
- Four new dining venues
- More than 50 seasonal outdoor experiences
Every element of the redesign was guided by the surrounding alpine landscape, with beds positioned toward expansive mountain-view windows and natural materials woven throughout the interiors.
The Rimrock Banff marks only the second global opening for the Emblems Collection worldwide, following Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa in England. Rates at the resort begin at approximately CAD $1,425 per night, firmly positioning the property in the ultra-luxury tier. The opening is being hailed as a landmark moment for Canadian hospitality, set within more than 6,000 km of protected natural wilderness in one of the world’s most celebrated national parks.
