SyberJet Reveals Groundbreaking SJ36 Light Jet Mockup at Prestigious NBAA-BACE

General aviation manufacturer, SyberJet Aircraft, has proudly presented a full-scale mockup of its revolutionary SJ36 light business jet. The unveiling took place at the SyberJet World 2026 event on October 19, hosted at the Henderson Executive Airport in Nevada. This was a precursor to the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE).

The nine-seat SJ36 marks the most ambitious aircraft program in SyberJet’s history, aiming for performance specifications that the company believes will redefine the category. The jet is engineered to reach a top speed of Mach 0.88, a transcontinental range of up to 3,000 nautical miles without refuelling, and maintain a sea-level cabin altitude at cruising heights up to 41,000 feet. These features are all unprecedented for a light jet.

Powering the 18,500-pound MTOW airframe are twin Williams International FJ44-4A turbofan engines, each generating 3,621 pounds of thrust.

Other planned features include SyberJet’s proprietary SyberVision glass cockpit, a zero-emission APU for quiet ground operations, over-the-air software updates, and flight plan uploads directly from a mobile device. CEO Trevor Milton described the SJ36 as a “fundamental course change” for the aviation market, suggesting the aircraft could provide coast-to-coast travel at 50 to 70 percent less than a comparable midsize charter.

FAA certification is currently aimed for 2032, with the first flight scheduled around 2029. Early-owner incentive terms were announced at the event, although the specifics of buyer commitments remain under close industry scrutiny.
