Cirrus Celebrates Delivery of 800th Vision Jet as G3 Model Introduces Significant Upgrades

Cirrus Aircraft has achieved a significant milestone with the delivery of its 800th Vision SF50 jet. This landmark event took place in September 2026 at the company’s facility in Knoxville, Tennessee. This comes nearly a decade after the first SF50 was delivered on December 19, 2016. This accomplishment solidifies the Vision Jet’s standing as the world’s best-selling single-engine personal jet.

Simultaneously, Cirrus has started delivering the Generation 3 (G3) Vision Jet. This model introduces over 30 refinements and enhancements compared to its predecessor. Key upgrades include:

  • A redesigned cabin accommodating six adults and one child
  • A new third-row bench seat
  • Premium Alcantara-wrapped seating with improved ergonomics
  • Personal device mounts at every seat position

The G3’s flight deck features the Cirrus Perspective Touch Plus avionics suite. This includes Controller-Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) for text-based ATC messaging, Alerts-Linked Checklists, and enhanced 3D SafeTaxi surface mapping. The aircraft also maintains Cirrus’s signature safety systems: the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Garmin Safe Return Emergency Autoland, which allows for a fully autonomous landing without any pilot intervention.

The G3 boasts a maximum range of 1,275 nm and a cruise speed of 317 KTAS. It is powered by a Williams International engine producing 1,846 pounds of thrust. Approximately 80–90% of Vision Jets are owner-flown, reflecting the aircraft’s popularity in the personal aviation market.
