Qantas and Expedia Collaborate to Transform Holiday Booking Experience by 2027
Qantas Loyalty has unveiled a groundbreaking strategic technology collaboration with Expedia Group. The partnership aims to entirely revamp the digital booking experience for Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Jetstar Holidays. The enhanced platform is slated for launch in H1 2027.
The agreement, hailed by Expedia Group B2B President Alfonso Paredes as “one of the biggest deals in APAC”, will see Expedia Group B2B driving the full booking journey across both platforms. Leveraging Expedia Group B2B’s Composable Agentic Template, customers can search and book hotels and holiday packages, earn and redeem Qantas Points, and manage their entire trip in one location.
Key enhancements include deeper integration with the Qantas App, machine-learning-powered property and holiday recommendations, improved digital self-service, and the capability to bundle holiday packages with premium cabin seating and partner codeshare flights. The commercial implications are substantial: Qantas Hotels, Holidays and Tours generated $1.6 billion in booking transaction value in FY2026, highlighting the platform’s importance to the Qantas Loyalty ecosystem.
Construction and integration efforts between the two companies have already commenced, with the new platform anticipated to go live in the first half of next year.
