Bentley Motors Introduces Torcal: The Brand’s Premier Electric Vehicle Priced at $225K

In a significant milestone for one of Britain’s most iconic luxury automotive brands, Bentley Motors officially unveiled the Torcal — its first fully electric vehicle — at a launch event in London on September 23, 2026. The Torcal signifies the realization of nearly a decade of electrification commitments and now stands as the fourth core model in Bentley’s contemporary lineup, joining the ranks of the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga.

Conceived, developed, and hand-assembled at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, England, the Torcal is a mid-size luxury SUV that shares its platform with the Porsche Cayenne Electric. The base model boasts a remarkable 810 horsepower and 880 lb-ft of torque. The top-tier Torcal S model, on the other hand, delivers a whopping 876 hp (888 PS) and accelerates from 0–60 mph in a mere 2.8 seconds. Despite its impressive performance, the Torcal offers a generous 375-mile WLTP range and can charge from 10–80% in just 16 minutes on a fast DC charger.

The pricing for the standard model begins at approximately £165,000 (~$225,000), while the S variant is priced around £200,000 (~$270,000). Bentley’s CEO, Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, described the Torcal as “a Bentley first and foremost,” highlighting its Merino wool interior trim, illuminated diamond grille, and fully active suspension — a first for the marque. The brand anticipates the Torcal will appeal to younger buyers and first-time Bentley customers. Sales are slated to commence in early 2027.
