Olaplex Introduces Shape Set™ Hairspray: A Revolutionary Approach to Hair Styling and Repair
Renowned hair health brand, Olaplex, has recently expanded its product range with the introduction of the Shape Set™ Hairspray. This innovative product, unlike any other hairspray available, is now available at Sephora in the US and Space NK in the UK, with prices starting from £15 / $34.
The Shape Set Hairspray is powered by Olaplex’s unique Bond Set™ Technology, marking a groundbreaking innovation in the hairspray industry.
Central to the formula is an encapsulated peptide that penetrates the hair shaft to repair broken disulfide bonds actively. This ingredient works in tandem with Flexi-Hold Polymers that envelop each hair strand, providing a flexible, buildable hold without the stiffness or crunch often associated with traditional hairsprays.
Brand testing has shown impressive results with Shape Set providing 96 hours of hold and frizz control, 450°F (232°C) heat protection, and a 60% reduction in hair breakage after just one use. In consumer trials, a remarkable 97% of participants reported that their hair felt touchable after application.
The launch of Shape Set coincides with a new campaign, “Re-Shape the Rules”, featuring actress and comedian Chloe Fineman in her continued role as the brand’s Chief Hair Officer. This product release comes shortly after Henkel completed its $1.4 billion acquisition of Olaplex, which reported approximately $430 million in sales last year.
