United Airlines Inaugurates Daily Nonstop Service from Newark to Seoul

United Airlines has proudly announced the commencement of its much-anticipated daily nonstop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Seoul’s Incheon International Airport (ICN). This marks a significant milestone in U.S.-Korea air travel. The inaugural flight took off on September 4, 2026, positioning United as the sole U.S. carrier to offer a nonstop connection between the New York area and South Korea.

The service operates throughout the year on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The aircraft is configured with 257 seats, distributed across three cabins: 48 lie-flat Polaris business class seats, 21 Premium Plus seats, and 188 Economy Plus and standard economy seats. The flight departs from Newark at 10:35 AM and reaches Seoul the following day at 3:20 PM, making the journey approximately 15 hours and 45 minutes long.

Doreen Burse, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at United Airlines, stated: “United is proud to be the only US airline offering a nonstop link between Seoul and New York.”

This new route provides Korean travelers with the opportunity to connect onward through Newark to over 160 destinations across United’s network. According to booking data, approximately 179,000 round-trip passengers traveled between Newark and Incheon in the 12 months leading up to June 2026, making Seoul the largest East Asia market from EWR.
