Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe: A New Era Begins with a $160M Transformation
One of Lake Tahoe’s most iconic resort properties, Caesars Entertainment, has been reborn. The grand opening of the Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino in Stateline, Nevada, marks the conclusion of an extensive, multi-phased $160 million transformation of the former Harveys Lake Tahoe. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by longtime Caesars partner Lisa Vanderpump, alongside Caesars President and COO Anthony Carano and senior management.
The fully reimagined resort now boasts a redesigned lobby, a modernized casino floor, and renovated guest rooms across both towers. Additionally, it offers an exciting lineup of new dining and nightlife venues. Highlights include:
- The High Dive Pool and Lounge
- Caesars Sportsbook
- The atmospheric new lounge Tessie’s Cocktails & Chords, developed in partnership with Clique Hospitality
The opening night was marked by live rock ‘n’ roll performances. With the adjacent Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, the South Shore complex now offers nearly 1,250 rooms, with a connector between the two properties.
Carano described the project as a blend of “the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada with the energy and innovation our guests expect.” The reopening positions Lake Tahoe’s South Shore as a premier leisure destination for a new generation of travelers seeking luxury mountain escapes with world-class entertainment.
