Carnival Cruise Line Amplifies Presence on West Coast with Enhanced Mexico Sailings
Miami, FL – August 27, 2026 — Carnival Cruise Line has officially commenced bookings for an extended selection of Mexico sailings from its primary West Coast homeport of Long Beach, California, as part of its 2028/29 season. This development solidifies Carnival’s leading position as the cruise line transporting the most passengers from Long Beach, especially as competitor Royal Caribbean scales back from the market by repositioning ships to Asia and Australia.
The new program, spanning May 2028 through April 2029, features two ships: Carnival Radiance and Carnival Panorama. Carnival Radiance will concentrate on shorter three- to four-day Baja Mexico excursions, including stops at Ensenada and Catalina Island. On the other hand, Carnival Panorama will offer longer six- and eight-day Mexican Riviera voyages, calling at Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta. A special five-day holiday sailing departing December 21, 2028 will visit Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, and Ensenada, with prices starting at $722 per person.
