Nvidia Breaks Records: $96.2B Quarter Revenue Causes Stock to Surge by 9%

Nvidia has once again left Wall Street in awe, reporting an astounding $96.2 billion in revenue for its second fiscal quarter of 2027. This is the highest single quarter ever recorded by any technology company. The results, announced on August 26, 2026, represent a remarkable 106% year-over-year increase and an 18% rise from the previous quarter. This solidifies the chipmaker’s dominance in the global AI infrastructure boom.

The company’s net income reached a whopping $59.69 billion, or $2.46 per share. This is more than double the $26.42 billion reported in the same period last year. Adjusted earnings of $2.22 per share comfortably surpassed the Wall Street consensus of $2.09 per share. The markets reacted positively, with Nvidia shares surging nearly 9% in the subsequent trading session. This added approximately $440 billion to the company’s market cap.

Looking forward, Nvidia anticipates approximately $108 billion in revenue for the current quarter. This is significantly higher than analyst forecasts of $104.86 billion. The company also indicated its expectation to increase full fiscal year revenue by roughly 70%. This growth is driven by the unending demand for its AI-accelerating chips. As hyperscalers like AWS, Google, and Microsoft compete to expand AI data centers, Nvidia’s silicon continues to be the essential engine of the AI era.
