Embraer Phenom 300EV: A Historic Achievement with Triple Certification and Autoland

In a historic moment for both business and general aviation, Embraer’s Phenom 300EV has simultaneously earned certification from three of the world’s most stringent aviation regulators — the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Brazil’s National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This triple approval, announced on August 25, 2026, permits the aircraft to operate across its three largest global markets from day one. This is an unusually rare accomplishment that eliminates the staggered international rollout that typically delays new type availability.

Most notably, the Phenom 300EV becomes the first light jet in the world to be certified with Garmin Emergency Autoland — a groundbreaking safety system capable of executing a fully automated landing without any pilot input. The system can activate automatically if it detects an incapacitated pilot, or be triggered manually by a passenger with a single button press. Once engaged, it selects a suitable airport, communicates the aircraft’s intentions to air traffic control, flies the approach, and brings the aircraft to a complete stop on the runway.

Beyond Autoland, the 300EV boasts an upgraded Garmin G3000 Prime flight deck with edge-to-edge touchscreen displays, autobrake, rudder-by-wire controls, autothrottle, and an Emergency Descent Mode. A new Embraer-designed Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC) supports these new electronically controlled functions. The aircraft also features a range of 2,055 nautical miles with four passengers and Gogo Galileo LEO satellite connectivity. First deliveries are expected to begin in 2028.
