Nvidia Breaks New Ground with a $96.2B Quarter, Setting Sights on $108B Next

Nvidia has once again shattered records, reporting a $96.2 billion revenue for its second fiscal quarter of 2027. This represents a remarkable 106% increase year-over-year and an 18% rise from the previous quarter.

The Santa Clara-based chipmaker disclosed a net income of $59.69 billion, or $2.46 per share (GAAP). This figure significantly outperformed Wall Street’s consensus estimate of $2.09 adjusted EPS. The demand for Nvidia’s AI-powering chips shows no signs of abating.

Revenue more than doubled from a year earlier, reaching $96.22 billion and exceeding analysts’ average forecast of $92.27 billion. Data Center revenues alone amounted to $75.2 billion. This 92% year-over-year surge highlights the extent to which the global AI infrastructure boom now pivots around Nvidia’s silicon.

Looking to the future, CEO Jensen Huang anticipates $108 billion in revenue for the current quarter. This projection significantly exceeds the $104.86 billion analysts had forecast. Huang also projected approximately 70% annual revenue growth for the fiscal year 2028.

The company also reported that its supply commitments more than doubled from $119 billion last quarter to $279 billion. This increase was primarily driven by memory procurement. Following the announcement, Nvidia shares surged over 8%, reinforcing its status as the world’s most valuable company.
