Abbotsford International Airshow: A Spectacular Aerial Display in Canada
Aviation enthusiasts from all over North America are setting their course towards British Columbia. The spotlight is on the Abbotsford International Airshow, also known as Canada’s National Airshow. This grand event is opening its gates for its 64th edition from August 7–9, 2026, at the Abbotsford International Airport (YXX). As the largest airshow in Western Canada, it typically attracts over 125,000 spectators and contributes more than $6 million annually to the local Fraser Valley economy.
The three-day program for this year is packed with awe-inspiring performances. The lineup includes the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the iconic RCAF CF-18 Hornet two-ship demonstration, and a rare MiG-17F aerobatic display by Fighterjets Inc. The sky will also be graced by the RCAF SkyHawks parachute team and Red Bull aerobatic helicopter pilot Aaron Fitzgerald in a Bo-105. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to explore over 350,000 square feet of static aircraft displays, providing an up-close view of military and civilian aircraft from around the globe.
The airshow will kick off with a spectacular Twilight Show on Friday evening, featuring fireworks and synchronized drone displays. Daytime flying performances are scheduled from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. The event is expected to sell out quickly, with tickets available exclusively online.
