Revolution Beauty Returns to Profitability Under Founders’ Leadership
Revolution Beauty (LSE: REVB), a leading UK mass-market cosmetics brand, has announced a significant financial turnaround in the second half of the year, marking a return to profitability after a period of corporate instability. This positive shift indicates that the brand’s revival, led by its original founders, is making substantial progress.
The company reported a full-year revenue of £102.1 million for the 12 months ending 28 February 2026, a decrease of 28.4% from £142.6 million in the previous year. This planned decline was a result of SKU rationalization. However, the real success story lies in the second half of the year: Revolution Beauty recorded an adjusted EBITDA profit of £4.3 million (7.8% of sales) in H2, overturning a £12.5 million loss in H1. The gross margin also saw a significant increase, jumping to 41.4% in H2 from 32.2% in H1.
The successful turnaround was led by co-founders CEO Tom Allsworth and Adam Minto, who resumed control of the company in August 2025. Their strategy focused on improved stock management, SKU reductions, and enhanced product execution. Direct-to-consumer sales saw a 26% year-on-year increase, largely driven by a robust performance on the TikTok Shop. The management team anticipates further improvements in FY2027, with targets set for full-year revenue growth and a return to profitable cash generation.
With approximately 17,500 retail doors globally, Revolution Beauty’s results reflect a renewed faith in affordable, accessible beauty.
