In a groundbreaking development set to revolutionize dental care, researchers at the University of Nottingham have pioneered a fluoride-free, protein-based gel. This innovative product has the potential to regenerate damaged tooth enamel, a feat the human body is incapable of achieving independently once enamel is lost. The gel functions by emulating the natural protein amelogenin, which directs enamel formation during infancy.
