Hilton Unveils Luxurious $100M Hawaiian Resort Following Remarkable Transformation
Waikīkī welcomes a breathtaking new addition to its skyline. Hilton has triumphantly completed a monumental $100 million transformation of Ka Laʻi Waikīkī Beach, LXR Hotels & Resorts. The doors officially opened on July 13, 2026, marking it as the first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in Hawaiʻi.
The ambitious redesign was led by the renowned interior design firm Bryan O’Sullivan Studio and supported architecturally by Guerin Glass Architects. This collaboration has completely reimagined the 39-story oceanfront tower, formerly known as Trump International Hotel Waikiki, into a world-class luxury destination deeply rooted in Hawaiian culture and spirit.
Located at 223 Saratoga Road, Honolulu, the property now boasts 238 residential-style studios and suites. Each accommodation is equipped with fully furnished kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms, and private lanais. Guests are invited to explore three brand-new dining concepts — the Kini Room, Muse Lounge, and Bloom Cafe & Restaurant — all masterfully led by Executive Chef Yoshi Ohata.
The resort’s interiors are a blend of wood, lava stone, marble, and woven textures, complemented by a curated Hawaiian art program. A standout ceramic installation by local artist Suzanne Wang is a must-see.
In celebration of its grand opening, the resort is offering a limited-time “Discover Luxury” package that includes a $1,000 resort credit. This launch fortifies Waikīkī’s premium hospitality scene, particularly at a time when visitor demand and expenditure in Hawaiʻi are on a robust upward trajectory. The resort is attracting international travelers from Japan, Australia, Canada, and France.
