Samsung Announces Galaxy Unpacked Event in London: Anticipating New Foldable Devices
Samsung has officially announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event for July 22, 2026, to be held in London, UK. This marks the first time the company has hosted the flagship hardware event outside of South Korea or the United States. The event, themed “A New Shape Unfolds,” is generating enormous buzz ahead of what analysts are calling Samsung’s biggest hardware launch of the year.
The company teased the event with a cryptic animated invite showing a ticket with a noticeably wider, shorter silhouette than current Galaxy Z Fold devices. This strongly hints at a completely redesigned wide-body foldable form factor.
Leaked details suggest Samsung will unveil three new foldable phones:
- Galaxy Z Fold 8 (wide format)
- Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Flip 8
Alongside these, Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The event will also see the formal debut of its Galaxy Glasses, AI-powered smart glasses running Google’s Gemini assistant.
The next-generation devices are set to run Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features and One UI software, promising “more personal and adaptive experiences” that set a new standard for the AI era.
The event will be streamed live on Samsung.com and Samsung’s YouTube channel at 9 a.m. EDT / 2 p.m. BST on July 22. Consumers can pre-register now at samsung.com/unpacked for exclusive benefits including a $30 Samsung credit during the pre-order period.
The London event puts Samsung strategically ahead of Apple, which is expected to reveal its first foldable iPhone — reportedly the iPhone Ultra — at its September event.
