MT-Propeller Secures Expanded EASA Approval for 4-Blade Prop on Cessna T210

German propeller manufacturer MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has secured an updated EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC #10038720 Revision 4, issued June 18, 2026). This update allows the installation of their four-blade composite propeller, the MTV-14-D/195-30b, on an extended range of Cessna 210 series aircraft. The approval now includes the T210K and T210L models, in addition to the previously approved P210N, P210R, T210M, T210N, and T210R variants.

The scimitar-shaped, all-composite MTV-14 propeller, powered by TCM TSIO-520 series engines, provides a compelling upgrade package for Cessna 210 owners. According to MT-Propeller, the installation offers:

  • 3 to 5 knots of additional cruise speed
  • A 5% improvement in climb performance
  • Significantly reduced noise and vibration — qualifying the aircraft for operation in Switzerland’s lowest noise category

The propeller also features bonded nickel alloy leading edges for superior erosion protection and offers more ground clearance to minimize foreign object damage (FOD). Blade life is rated as unlimited, with FOD-repairable blades adding practical value for owners.

MT-Propeller, a world leader in natural composite propeller technology, now holds more than 230 STCs worldwide. They supply OEM products to over 90% of the European aircraft industry and 45% of the U.S. aircraft industry. The new approval broadens access to the popular propeller upgrade for the large global fleet of Cessna T210 operators.
