WAI Launches Over $200K Scholarship Program for Future Aviators
Women in Aviation International (WAI) has proudly initiated its 2027 scholarship cycle, presenting a significant opportunity for both aviation professionals and students throughout the industry. The program presently provides more than 50 scholarships, with a total value exceeding $200,000. These scholarships encompass a broad spectrum of aviation career fields, including flight training, engineering, aircraft maintenance, dispatch, drone operations, and career advancement.
The current cycle introduces over 10 new scholarships, in addition to two esteemed Harvard Emerging Leaders professional development courses. One course is scheduled to be on campus in May 2027, while the other will be offered online in June 2027. The program welcomes WAI members of all ages and experience levels, from students embarking on flight training to seasoned professionals pursuing career advancement.
Eligibility for the program requires applicants to be WAI members by August 30, 2026. The deadline for application submission is 11:59 p.m. EDT on September 1, 2026. Winners will be informed by December 15, 2026, and will be honored at the 38th Annual Women in Aviation International Conference in Savannah, Georgia, from February 25–27, 2027. Since its inception in 1995, WAI has granted an impressive $17 million in scholarships to ambitious aviation professionals.
