SpaceX Poised to Launch a Record-Breaking $75B IPO on Nasdaq This Week

Elon Musk’s SpaceX stands on the brink of stock market history. The highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO) is set to make its debut on the Nasdaq this Thursday, June 12, 2026, under the ticker symbol SPCX. The company has set its share price at a firm $135 per share, aiming for a staggering $1.77 trillion valuation. This valuation would place it as the seventh most valuable company in the United States, surpassing even Tesla.

SpaceX has plans to sell over 555 million shares. The goal is to raise as much as $75 billion, which would make this the largest IPO in stock market history. This would be more than triple the size of Alibaba’s record-setting U.S. debut. The underwriting syndicate comprises Goldman Sachs as the lead banker, with Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, and JPMorgan Chase completing the team.

In a significant departure from typical IPO structures, Elon Musk has reportedly allocated up to 30% of IPO shares to retail investors. This is at least three times the standard 5–10% usually reserved in conventional offerings, providing everyday investors with unprecedented access to the deal. The company reported a revenue of $18.7 billion in 2025, marking a 33% increase year-over-year, despite posting a net loss of $4.9 billion.

Share pricing is expected after the market close on June 11, 2026, with first-day trading to follow on June 12. Post-offering, Musk will retain over 82% voting control.
