Tecnam Forms Strategic Alliance with Valor Flight Academy in Michigan
Italian aircraft manufacturer, Tecnam, has recently announced a strategic partnership with Valor Flight Academy, a new flight training organization based in Michigan. This partnership signifies another expansion in Tecnam’s North American training footprint.
The announcement was made during the 2026 Stratus Aero Summit. Valor Flight Academy, situated at Willow Run Airport, has chosen Tecnam’s state-of-the-art P2008 MkII aircraft as the backbone of its training fleet.
“We are thrilled to welcome Valor Flight Academy to the Tecnam family,” said Walter Da Costa, Tecnam CSO. “Sadeq and his team are building exactly the kind of modern, safety-focused, and highly structured training environment where our aircraft truly shine.”
Tecnam revealed that Valor Flight Academy selected the manufacturer due to its strong industry reputation, contemporary aircraft design, and proven track record in the global flight training market. The P2008 MkII offers advanced technology, fuel efficiency, and what the company describes as a “premium feel that next-generation aviators demand.”
The partnership includes plans for future multi-engine expansion in Southeast Michigan, supporting the growing demand for professional pilot training in the region. Valor Flight Academy offers comprehensive programs from private pilot licenses through instructor certificates.
