Alaska Airlines Debuts Premier Seattle-London Service

Alaska Airlines has proudly announced the commencement of its eagerly awaited daily Seattle-London Heathrow service on May 21, 2026. This marks a significant milestone in the carrier’s ongoing European expansion. The new route is Alaska’s second venture into European destinations, following the successful launch of its Rome service in April.

Operating daily, the service employs the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 aircraft, equipped with 34 enclosed business class suites. These suites offer passengers a luxurious transatlantic experience. The Seattle-London route places Alaska in direct competition with Seattle’s most established long-haul markets, where carriers such as British Airways, Delta Air Lines, and Virgin Atlantic already offer approximately 14,700 two-way weekly seats.

The launch forms part of Alaska’s wider strategy to grow its international presence and offer more nonstop options for passengers traveling between the Pacific Northwest and Europe. Following the London launch, Alaska Airlines has plans to introduce seasonal daily flights to Reykjavik Keflavik starting May 28, further solidifying its standing in the transatlantic market.
