Anthropic’s Record-Breaking $10.9B Revenue and First Profit in Q2
AI startup, Anthropic, is set to generate a staggering $10.9 billion in revenue during Q2 of 2026. This figure more than doubles its Q1 revenue of $4.8 billion, according to investor reports. Furthermore, the company is projected to celebrate its first-ever profitable quarter with an operating profit of approximately $559 million.
The company’s explosive growth signifies a dramatic acceleration for the AI firm, renowned for its Claude AI assistant and Claude Code programming tool. This profitability milestone arrives years ahead of schedule. Just last summer, Anthropic informed investors it did not anticipate full-year profitability until at least 2028. The company’s swift ascent has been propelled by enterprise adoption of its AI tools for coding, cybersecurity, and business applications.
Despite the promising outlook, Anthropic has cautioned that it may not maintain profitability throughout the entire year due to substantial computing costs scheduled to arise later in 2026. The company is currently negotiating with investors to raise funds at a $900 billion valuation, which would position it ahead of competitor OpenAI. Anthropic’s rapid emergence as a major player in the artificial intelligence industry was recognized as it ranked first on CNBC’s 2026 Disruptor 50 list this week.
