Beaches Resorts Celebrates Grand Opening of $150M Treasure Beach Village in Turks & Caicos
Beaches Resorts marked the grand opening of its $150 million Treasure Beach Village expansion at Beaches Turks and Caicos with a star-studded celebration. The event, which took place this past weekend, featured celebrities, fireworks, and live performances. This significant milestone is part of the company’s nearly $1 billion investment plan to double its Caribbean footprint over the next five years.
Executive Chairman Adam Stewart unveiled the new oceanfront addition, which adds 101 multi-bedroom suites to the resort. This includes the spectacular CrystalSky 4-Bedroom Reserve Villas that span more than 2,600 square feet across three stories. The expansion also introduces six new dining concepts, including the beloved Butch’s Island Chop House, a 15,000-square-foot lagoon pool with waterslides, and a 32-seat Starfish Cinema.
“This weekend marks the first expression of Beaches Resorts’ US $1 billion investment in the future of the brand,” Stewart told attendees at the celebration. The event featured performances by American Authors and appearances by celebrities such as Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Taye Diggs, and Jamie Chung. The opening represents the first of five new Beaches resorts planned across the Caribbean, with future properties slated for Exuma (Bahamas), Barbados, Jamaica, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Premier of Turks and Caicos Washington Misick referred to Beaches Turks and Caicos as the territory’s “marquee property”. He noted that the expansion strengthens the islands’ position as a premier high-end tourism destination. The resort has also achieved the Advanced Certified Autism Center designation, making it the first hospitality company worldwide to receive this recognition.
