Anthropic Unveils AI Agent Templates for Wall Street Financial Services
Anthropic has recently launched ten ready-to-run AI agent templates, specifically tailored for financial services professionals. This significant move into Wall Street’s operations, announced on May 5, 2026, aims to streamline time-consuming tasks such as building pitchbooks, screening KYC files, and closing month-end accounting.
The innovative agents operate across Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook via Microsoft 365 add-ins. This integration allows for seamless context transition between applications. Notably, financial firms including Goldman Sachs, Citadel, Citi, and AIG are already utilizing the Claude platform for their financial operations.
In addition to the new AI agents, Anthropic has also announced collaborations with major financial data providers. A notable partnership is with Moody’s, which is integrating its full platform into Claude as a native app. This integration empowers users to analyze credit ratings and risk data for over 600 million companies without leaving the Claude interface. Other data partners include FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, MSCI, PitchBook, Morningstar, and LSEG.
Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.7 model is touted as “state-of-the-art on financial tasks”, scoring an impressive 64.37% on Vals AI’s Finance Agent benchmark, outperforming competitors. In a significant development, financial services giant FIS has announced its collaboration with Anthropic to develop an AI agent. This agent is expected to reduce the time taken for anti-money-laundering investigations from hours to mere minutes. BMO and Amalgamated Bank are among the first institutions to deploy it.
