Estée Lauder Appoints Nestlé’s CMO for a Comprehensive Digital Marketing Revamp

The Estée Lauder Companies made a noteworthy leadership announcement this week. They have appointed Aude Gandon, from Nestlé, as their inaugural Chief Digital & Marketing Officer (CDMO). This appointment will be effective from August 1, 2025. The creation of this new role signifies the beauty behemoth’s strategic initiative to rejuvenate its digital transformation in the midst of recovery efforts from challenging market scenarios.

Gandon carries an impressive portfolio from her tenure as the Global Chief Marketing Officer at Nestlé. She was the driving force behind the digital transformation across 188 markets and over 2,000 brands. Her expertise includes the development of strategic alliances with major tech platforms such as Google, Meta, Amazon, and Netflix. Additionally, she held leadership positions at Google as the Global Managing Director for Platform & Ecosystems.

CEO Stéphane de La Faverie expressed his confidence in Gandon, stating, “Her global perspective and proven track record of leading large-scale marketing, digital and media transformations make her the ideal leader for this critical role.” This appointment concludes a prolonged period of executive reshuffling as the company strives to rekindle consumer interest and fortify its position in the fiercely competitive prestige beauty market.
