Dyson Introduces Compact Supersonic Hair Dryer for the Modern Traveler
Renowned beauty tech company, Dyson, has just unveiled the Supersonic Travel hair dryer. This compact version of their popular styling tool is designed with the modern, on-the-go individual in mind, who values hair health above all.
Launched on April 21, 2026, this new device is 32% smaller and 25% lighter than the original Supersonic. Despite its lightweight design of just 0.75 pounds, it still boasts the brand’s signature intelligent heat control technology. At a price point of $299.99, it’s Dyson’s most budget-friendly hair tool to date.
“We didn’t just shrink a dryer, we re-engineered it for travel,” said James Dyson, founder and chief engineer.
The standout feature of the Supersonic Travel is its universal voltage compatibility. This feature automatically adapts to any country’s power system, eliminating the need for converters and reducing the risk of device damage while abroad.
Like its predecessor, the Supersonic Travel also features intelligent heat control that measures airflow temperature 100 times per second to prevent extreme heat damage. It’s compatible with all existing Supersonic and Supersonic Nural attachments. Each purchase also includes a styling concentrator.
The Supersonic Travel is now available at Dyson Demo Stores and select retailers worldwide. A global rollout is expected to continue through June 2026.
