Estée Lauder Appoints Ex-Nestlé CMO as Inaugural Chief Digital & Marketing Officer

The Estée Lauder Companies have made a pivotal leadership change this week, announcing the appointment of Aude Gandon as its inaugural Chief Digital & Marketing Officer (CDMO), effective from August 1, 2025. This newly minted role signifies a significant strategic pivot for the beauty conglomerate, as it aims to bolster its digital transformation and marketing prowess.

Gandon transitions from Nestlé, where she held the position of Global Chief Marketing Officer. She brings to the table a wealth of experience in digital transformation, garnered from leading consumer-facing businesses. Prior to her stint at Nestlé, she occupied leadership roles at Google, including the position of Global Managing Director for Platform & Ecosystems. Here, she crafted integrated brand and creative strategies across five continents. Her illustrious career also includes senior roles at global advertising powerhouses such as Publicis Worldwide, McCann, and Leo Burnett. She worked with high-profile beauty and luxury clients, including L’Oréal, P&G Beauty, and LVMH.

In her role as CDMO, Gandon will helm the company’s digital, marketing and media ecosystem. Her responsibilities will encompass precision marketing, creative operations, consumer insights, omnichannel media strategy, and global digital commerce. Her appointment underscores Estée Lauder’s dedication to evolving its consumer-centric approach and fortifying marketing as a key driver of commercial growth across its portfolio of brands. These include MAC, Clinique, La Mer, and Tom Ford.
