Toyota and Woven by Toyota Launch Advanced AI Vision Engine at Woven City
Toyota Motor Corporation and Woven by Toyota have unveiled groundbreaking AI technologies designed to accelerate innovation at the newly launched Toyota Woven City. The technologies include the world’s leading vision language model, according to MVBench benchmarks. This announcement introduces several cutting-edge systems aimed at transforming mobility and urban infrastructure through artificial intelligence.
The centerpiece of the announcement is the Woven City AI Vision Engine, a state-of-the-art vision language model designed for applications across industries. Alongside this, Toyota introduced the Woven City Integrated ANZEN System, a safety network that combines multiple AI technologies, including Woven City Behavior AI and Woven City Drive Sync Assist.
This system analyzes camera data from vehicles and traffic signals to understand movement, anticipate behavior, and provide real-time information to pedestrians and drivers.
Supporting the AI infrastructure, Toyota unveiled the Woven City Infra Hub, an integrated data platform that unifies data across the city, and Woven City Data Fabric, a data management framework facilitating data utilization while respecting privacy preferences.
The company also announced the opening of the Inventor Garage in April, a hub for end-to-end development featuring co-creation spaces, testing areas, and accommodations for inventors.
- Four new companies have joined Woven City as Inventors, with the final pitch for the Toyota Woven City Challenge accelerator program scheduled for Thursday, April 23.
- Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda contributed to innovation efforts by developing “Akio Toyoda AI,” an AI model reflecting his unique approach to leadership designed to promote AI adoption across the Toyota Group.
