Microsoft and Tieto Forge a Strategic AI Partnership in Europe
Microsoft and Tieto have announced a significant strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI across European enterprises. The collaboration plans to upskill 5,000 consultants in the latest AI technologies from Microsoft. The ultimate goal is to establish Tieto as the leading software and technology consulting market player within selected industries in Europe.
The extensive partnership encompasses various areas, including:
- Co-selling AI solutions to selected customers
- Joint AI showcases at events and studios
- Capability development with certifications across Microsoft AI enabling technologies
- Software development efficiency improvements
- AI adoption for Tieto’s internal operations
The initiative is primarily focused on enabling customers’ “agentic transformation” and enhancing engineering productivity through real-world AI deployment at scale.

The partnership combines Tieto’s deep industry insight and customer relationships with Microsoft’s AI platform to help organizations move from experimentation to real impact. Tieto, with approximately 14,000 employees and EUR 2 billion in annual revenue, provides mission-critical solutions across multiple industries through its specialized software businesses.
